Party-poppers!
written on Friday, April 29, 2016 @ 10:10 AM ✈

Despite holding a not-so-mundane full-time job, I would still constantly seek extra happy curriculum to keep myself jubilant.
I find joy planning birthday parties, especially diy-ing decorations and doing interior design.

The very first party that I plan was last year Trevor's birthday party which I planned from scratch. It was a surprised 21st party for him. Thus, I planned everything with the help of my bff. ♡ - that also mean, all the budget was absorbed by me, researching, inviting, decorations, food, location and every other things.
Despite the huge amount of $$ spent, I found my passion in planning and doing such party.
The theme I adopted for his 21st is Travel.
Basically his deco for the living area of the hotel - Fort Canning Lodge.
tbh, i really love the deco hahaha.
total folded 60-70 aeroplanes of different sizes and different shades of blue.
total spent from the planes: less than $5
fairy lights - $10 from @baggerbaggers
and of course, the banner is printed
& the food provided.
it's not the best since i am low in budget, but still. yeap.
and the snacks i prepared.
the balls are oreo balls and the bottom tier is honey cornflakes. baked by lesmin and i hehe
and here's the birthday boy with his cake hahahah
and there his cake is
cake cost - $100
bbg and i hehe
yuh meei, winnie, lesmin and i
special thanks to the girls for coming down early to help me with this
special thanks to lesmin for preparing, planning, baking and etc with me; staying up till 4am to bake, waking up early and of cos, the great company from her and the endless conversation.
and that's me receiving a panic call. hahahaha kinda love this photo.
and here as you can tell, i share a part of her with that boy over there.

The next party that I lend a helping hand was Tiffany's 21st birthday.
The decorations were all very similar to Trevor's party. Thus, not much brain-cracking was needed. Hence, it was all planned out easily and all I need to do was to do the decorations and she had the rest all planned out, thus, all I needed to do was to fill-in the gaps and beautify the rest of the area.
The theme Tiffany adopted for her 21st is Travel.

The last party that I lend a helping hand till date was Jaslin's 21st party that happened just last weekend. She wanted to keep it simple, thus, she take on purple coloured theme. Since everything was pretty much planned out except the deco, all I needed to do was to do the deco.
in preparation of her big day
why the clips thou? bcos we do not want to tangle them up. hahaha

these are crepe paper and we bought them in popular. depending on the amount you use, the cost varies. but, for us, we pick 3 colours and use 5 stripes per colour.
1 strip cost: $0.90
15 strips cost: $13.50 (more discount if you are a popular member + POSB everyday rebate card)
we bought 3M hooks to hook it up @ D'resort
3M hooks won't hurt the nicely painted room, so its good!

& the clique gathers

Life is full of battles & you are only given 2 choices -
Defeat it or be defeated by it.
Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.
I was constantly reminded that after every storm the sun will smile; for every problem, there is a solution, and the soul's indefesible duty is to be of a good cheer. Hence, I want to pen down my story of how I defeat the battle I'm constantly in.
“To put away aimlessness and weakness, and to begin to think with purpose, is to enter the ranks of those strong ones who only recognize failure as one of the pathways to attainment; who make all conditions serve them, and who think strongly, attempt fearlessly, and accomplish masterfully.”
- James Allen Quotes
