Well-deserved Bangkok Trip! Part II
written on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 @ 1:45 PM ✈

Day 2 agenda;
Chatuchak Weekend Market, Karmakamet Diner, Artbox Night Market, Siam Night Market

Chatuchak Weekend Market
Having to do so much research regarding Chatuchak Weekend Market, almost everyone said that it is a must go market. With very high expectations, we went ahead.

However, prices aren't that dirt cheap as what we expected to be. A few of the shops are selling 100 baht for all the item on sale while others can be priced as high as 600 baht for just a top. We expected ourselves to splurge here, but neh, either the clothes were too pricey or they did not catch our eyes.

Under the scotching sun and the stalls are all very compact together, 36 degree felt like 45 degree to me. I glistened throughout the time there and my energy were quickly absorbed by the sun. But nevertheless, it was still a good experience. I would still go back there again in my next trip (with a good sleep the previous night) !

This kebab is really one of the best kebab I have ever tasted in my 21 years of life

Finally, coconut ice cream

the street food here ain't cheap. some stalls sell at 200 baht per box, while some sell at 100 baht

our mandatory tourist shot!

the popsicles are 5 baht each, can you believe it!?

We decided to give milk tea a break, thus, this is actually honey green tea.
It taste alright, too sweet for start, so we kept adding water to dilute it.
Nonetheless, worth a try!

Quail eggs they say is a must try, it's indeed a must try.
But, like I said, some street food may cost twice the amount!

map of Chatuchak

We head home after a long 5-6 hours in Chatuchak to clean up, put down our things and rest.

We missed out quite a lot of things I would say as we did not come across any shops selling pets and all. 1 day to finish Chatuchak and be fulfilled? Not enough. Moreover, you will probably be damn dead tired after hours and hours of walking and figuring things around.

I wanted to print out the map of Chatuchak before my departure of Bangkok, but I totally forgot about it. Well, but, we still managed to walk through a quarter of Chatuchak I would say!

Karmakamet Diner
Karmakamet Diner is like a fine dining restaurant where it is located in a very unique location. It is located near Phrom Phrom BTS and you just have to google map it there. You will eventually find your way there if you intend to pay a visit!

The prices of the food is really sky high compared to those street food that we see everyday. A plate of spaghetti can easily cost 790 baht. But since we are already here, we just decided to dine in here. Our expenses were close to 2500 baht and I just pay by credit card since we have intentions to spend in the night market later and we do not know what to expect there as well.

It's an interesting and beautiful Restaurant where you can chill here. However, I would advice you to check out the prices in their website before putting this place in your itinerary. Otherwise, you can check out their cafes as well!

Our complimentary bread nicely sliced for us. Because it's complimentary, it taste extra good.

butter that comes together with the bread

Our main course

Our desert - Cotton candy ice cream!

Mirror shot  because the toilet is nice
Artbox Night Market
Upon my sister's recommendation, we decided to pay a visit to Artbox Night Market since we are in the area.

The things sold and the food available there indeed pretty pricey as compared to other market such as Chatuchak Market, Talat Rod Fai Night Market, Siam Night Market and etc. However, it is a nice environment, not too crowded and with a tinge of vintage feel.

Pictures speak a thousand words.
